Re-Fringing

All rugs' fringes (Persian and Oriental) wear out over time and that leads damaging the ends of rug and its edges.

To keep the rug ends from fraying and unraveling, our highly skilled personnel will repair and re-fringe your rug by adding new fridge yarns in damaged area or by adding replacement fringes by hand. We match original fringes as closely as possible. We highly recommend binding repair if the sides of the rug are wearing out.

Fringing and binding repairs will prevent the edges of your rug from unraveling and protects it against wear. Fringing and binding will increase the durability and value of your rug.

Re-Fringing

The most wear susceptible part of Persian and Oriental rugs is the rug fringes. Once they unravel, the whole rug may eventually unravel. If you notice the fringes of your rug started to unravel, act early. Our skilled personnel can repair it by forming a "lock stitch" to stop the rug from unraveling. The process of this repair using a very durable thread to weave in between the weft threads at the ends of the rug. This stage of rug repairing process is referred to as "Overcasting" and is specially recommended for hand wove area rugs.
