Re-FringingAll rugs' fringes (Persian and Oriental) wear out over time and that leads damaging the ends of rug and its edges.
OvercastingThe most wear susceptible part of Persian and Oriental rugs is the rug fringes. Once they unravel, the whole rug may eventually unravel. If you notice the fringes of your rug started to unravel, act early. Our skilled personnel can repair it by forming a "lock stitch" to stop the rug from unraveling. The process of this repair using a very durable thread to weave in between the weft threads at the ends of the rug. This stage of rug repairing process is referred to as "Overcasting" and is specially recommended for hand wove area rugs.
